Flights To And From Los Angeles

Hawaiian Airlines flights to Los Angeles and flights to Hawaii are operated from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Located on the Pacific Coast about 15 miles southwest of Downtown Los Angeles, LAX consists of 10 separate terminals that accommodate passengers on almost every major domestic and international airline.

Hawaiian Airlines operates from Terminal 3. If you need to switch terminals to catch a connecting flight, a complimentary Airline Connections shuttle bus runs every 12 to 15 minutes. Board an "A" Shuttle under the LAX Shuttle sign.

Have time on your hands between flights? Visit the airport’s futuristic-style restaurant located 70 feet above the ground in a historic building looking much like a flying saucer that sprouted legs. Other airport amenities include restaurants, fast food spots, microbreweries, sports bars, varied services and wi-fi access.

Ground transportation can be arranged in the Baggage Claim areas. Options include shuttle service, long distance vans, public transportation, rental cars, shared ride vans, taxis and door-to-door shuttle.

To help reduce vehicle traffic congestion in the Central Terminal Area, LAX offers a 24-hour LAX Cell Phone Waiting Lot at 9011 Airport Boulevard. Located north of the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Arbor Vitae/Westchester Parkway, the lot is easily accessible from the north and east by motorists using Sepulveda, La Tijera, Manchester and Century boulevards to access LAX.

Known for its high octane energy, LA sees stars out every night – if not in the sky, at least at the trendy hot spots where celebrities hang. It’s a town that razzle dazzles during the day, and shimmers after sunset.

You can rock out on the Sunset Strip, club it in Hollywood, whirl and twirl at Knott’s Berry Farm, cheer for the home team (in nearly every sport!), window shop on Rodeo Drive, and get into the glamor and glitz of television and movie studio tours. And just when you think you’ve seen and done it all, there’s dining, museums and recreation that runs the gamut. Whew!

The Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Lombard Street and cable cars say San Francisco well beyond the words.

San Jose Tidbits

The way to San Jose? Aboard Hawaiian Airlines, of course! Situated some 45 minutes south of San Francisco and 1.5 hours north of Monterey, the wealthy, techie town shares its "Silicon Valley" tag with Santa Clara. And while it may be home to the largest concentration of electronics and computer firms in the U.S., it still has a less serious side that’s all about fun.

As a contrast to microchips and processors, Raging Waters and Happy Hollow Park & Zoo attract families with exciting wet and wild action. And Paramount’s Great American Parkway amuses in nearby Santa Clara.

Or if your idea of fun is something more suited to adults, there’s tasting at over 20 local wineries. You can even spring south to Monterey Bay and Carmel, easy jaunts that unfold to some of the most magnificent scenery in California. From romantic Carmel to historic Monterey to the dramatic Big Sur coastline, the pay off is phenomenal!

First visit to Monterey County? Don’t miss Cannery Row, Fisherman’s Wharf, Monterey Bay Aquarium, 17-Mile Drive, Elkhorn Slough, National Steinbeck Center and Monterey Wine Country.

With its bustling business focus, San Jose blends modern structures amid meticulously restored 19th-century buildings. Culture pulsates with theater, ballet, symphony, art and museums. If you really want to get a grip on this silicon slice, be sure to visit the Tech Museum of Innovation, a study of the tech influence and its impact on the area. Then it all makes sense – the five-star hotels, fine restaurants, over a dozen championship golf courses and focus on finer things that make San Jose such a "rich" experience.
